Charles Taylor Assistance celebrates 50th anniversary

It was founded in 1973 under the name CEGA, before Charles Taylor’s acquisition in 2016
Charles Taylor Assistance, part of the Charles Taylor Group, is marking 50 years of supporting the travel and health insurance sectors this year.
The family business started in 1973 with the name CEGA, and today Charles Taylor Assistance is a provider of global medical and security assistance, travel risk management and claims solutions.
It partners with some of the world’s best-known insurers and organisations and its 2016 acquisition by Charles Taylor gives it a footprint in over 100 global locations.
Jody Baker, Chief Executive of Charles Taylor Assistance, attributes the company’s growth and longevity to its flexibility and innovation in the face of clients’ and clients' customers' changing needs.
He said: “From investing in straight through digital processing to transform travel claims management and surge responses, to developing intuitive medical screening to ease policyholder journeys, to blending the best of human expertise with the best of technology, we’ve constantly optimised our services in an evolving insurance landscape.
“As we enter the next half century of business, we’ll continue working closely with clients to help them make a positive impact in the context of global challenges.”
