Etc. Insurance and Open GI launch travel insurance broker solution
The new product allows brokers to complete all aspects of the travel insurance process, including medical screening, within one platform
Managing general agent (MGA) Etc. Insurance has partnered with insurtech specialist Open GI to offer “fully integrated” travel insurance to the UK broker market.
The solution utilises Open GI’s Mobius policy administration solution, and enables brokers to quote, bind, and complete medical screening for travel insurance within a single platform.
The two companies have confirmed that the travel insurance panel is currently available to selected brokers, with a broader market rollout throughout the remainder of the year.
The solution provides brokers with access to a panel of travel insurance products designed for the intermediary market, including both single-trip and annual policies.
The products also cover activities such as cruising and winter sports, flexible geographic regions, and access to additional benefits such as natural disaster protection, gadget cover, assistance, and telemedicine.
“The UK travel insurance market has been underserved in the broker and intermediary space for some time, with brokers having to exit their main operating platforms to obtain quotes and complete medical screening,” said Ian Rogers, Managing Director of Etc. Insurance. “By working closely with Open GI, we’ve delivered an integrated solution that removes operational friction and allows brokers to trade travel insurance in the same way they trade other personal lines products.”
Nick Giddings, Director of Distribution and Partners at Open GI, added: “A key differentiator of the solution is the inclusion of fully embedded medical screening within Mobius. Early results have demonstrated meaningful reductions in quote and transaction times, improving efficiency for brokers while delivering a smoother experience for customers.”
Embedded insurance specialist Cover Genius recently renewed its partnership with Turkish Airlines.
