Vanessa Maxwell appointed Global Head of Cyber and Financial Lines at Allianz Commercial

Vanessa Maxwell has been appointed Global Head of Cyber at Allianz Commercial, in addition to her current role as Global Head of Financial Lines, reporting to Shanil Williams, Chief Underwriting Officer at Allianz Commercial. In this new dual role, Maxwell will lead both cyber and financial lines as separate lines of business.

With over 20 years’ experience in financial lines and cyber, Maxwell joined Allianz Commercial as Global Head of Financial Lines just under two years ago from Berkshire Hathaway. During her time with Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, she was Country Manager and Head of Executive and Professional Lines, both for the UK. Prior to that, and over her career, she also worked in increasingly senior roles at AIG and Lexington Insurance Company.
