The Indian insurer will offer its product range to Standard Chartered’s clientele under a new bancassurance agreement

Star Health and Allied Insurance (Star Health), a Chennai-based insurer which specialises in health, personal accident and international travel insurance, has formed a bancassurance partnership with the Standard Chartered Bank.

Under the arrangement, Standard Chartered will offer Star Health and Allied Insurance’s product range across its branches throughout India – of which there are over 100, distributed across 42 cities.

The partnership significantly expands the Star Health’s distribution network, while also increasing the range of services offered to Standard Chartered’s customers.

Speaking to the Times of India, Saurabh Jain, MD and Head of Wealth Management India at Standard Chartered Bank, added: “Health and protection are key needs for clients managing their wealth. We are pleased to partner with Star Health and bring their products and services to address the evolving health needs of our clients.”
