New private hospital for Cyprus

The American Medical Centre plans to build a new 10-storey private hospital in the city of Limassol, Cyprus
The 12,900m2 facility will have 70 beds, and will be situated in the city centre, opposite Limassol’s main police station.
Construction is due to begin in the next few months, and will be completed about a year and a half later.
The hospital will have a first aid and emergency department, an intensive care unit, five operating rooms, support areas, and a helipad. Each patient room will also have its own ‘balcony garden’.
The new facility will complement the American Medical Centre’s existing facility in Nicosia, which has operated since 1999.
The University of Texas announced plans to open a new hospital in the US city of Austin earlier this year.
