New Neuroscience Center of Excellence opens in Egypt
The Cairo-based Alameda Healthcare Group has launched a new Neuroscience Center of Excellence in partnership with Medtronic
The new centre was inaugurated on 19 October. The launch event included a panel discussion led by Dr Ramy Amin, Professor of Neurosurgery at Cairo University, which discussed the role the centre would play in the provision of neurological healthcare.
Additionally, Professor Hossam Salah, Dean of Cairo University’s Faculty of Medicine, attended as the event’s guest of honour.
The new centre of excellence will feature a Medtronic StealthStation S8 Surgical Navigation System – a solution which provides a ‘comprehensive suite’ of capabilities to surgeons, including precision imaging, navigation, and key surgical tools.
“The launch of the Neuroscience Center of Excellence stands testament to Alameda’s commitment to introducing best-in-class technology and raising the bar for healthcare excellence in Egypt and the region,” said Neeraj Mishra, Group CEO of Alameda Healthcare. “Our strategic partnership will allow us to integrate Medtronic’s advanced technology into our new centre … significantly improving surgical experiences and enhancing patient outcomes.”
A new Proton Therapy Centre was officially opened at the King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, earlier this month.
