New Division President for Chubb
The newly created role will see Federico Spagnoli oversee consumer lines in 51 countries and territories
Federico Spagnoli has been appointed as Chubb’s new Division President, Consumer Lines for Overseas General Insurance.
The newly created role will be effective from 15 January 2024, and will see Spagnoli oversee the company’s consumer lines in 51 countries and territories.
Chubb’s international consumer lines include travel insurance, personal accident, and supplementary health coverage, among other things.
He will report to Juan Luis Ortega, Executive Vice President of the Chubb Group, and President of Overseas General Insurance.
An ‘exciting time’ to join Chubb
Spagnoli brings with him over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joins Chubb from Prudential Financial, where he served as CEO of Fully Ecosystem, a wellness fintech venture. Prior to this, he also served as Regional President for Latin America at Prudential Financial.
Spagnoli holds a degree in Law from the Universidad del Salvador, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management and Finance from Washington University in St Louis, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the University of Oxford. He also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation.
“He is joining Chubb at an exciting time for our consumer businesses, which bring together a unique combination of product distribution and technology capabilities,” said Ortega. “We have substantial runway for growth in Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe, and Federico has the track record and expertise to help us realize the combined potential of our consumer businesses.”
The company also recently announced Serene Neo as its new Head of Accident and Health for the Asia-Pacific region.
