Intrepid Travel and battleface partner to promote insurance
Intrepid will promote the insurer as an option to travellers as part of its mandatory insurance policies
Insurer battleface has partnered with adventure travel provider Intrepid Travel to provide travel insurance for its UK and EU customers.
Under the new arrangement, Intrepid says it will act as an ‘introducer’ for battleface, introducing its customers to the insurer’s services as part of its booking process.
However, Intrepid insists that this role does not equate to a recommendation of specific policy requirements for customers.
Travel insurance is mandatory for all international Intrepid-provided trips, and the travel operator recommends that policies should have both medical expense and repatriation provisions as a minimum.
The company also strongly recommends that all travellers also purchase policies to cover personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of personal items.
“We are pleased to be partnering with battleface for insurance services,” said Joanna Reeve, Head of Partnerships at Intrepid Travel. “In the current landscape, it’s more important than ever that travellers have adequate insurance cover to give them peace of mind.”
battleface recently launched its new customisable travel insurance platform on 15 October.
