China approves visa-free entry for four more countries
Citizens and residents of four European countries can now travel to China visa-free for short-term stays
The change applies to nationals from Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, and Slovenia, who can now stay in China for up to 15 days without applying for a visa first.
Norwegian nationals were also granted the right to stay for up to 15 days visa-free earlier in September.
The new visa rules apply to both leisure and business trips, and are the latest in a rapid revamp of China’s visa rules.
Travellers from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia were granted visa-free entry in late 2023.
Visitors from Ireland, Switzerland, Hungary, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia and Poland were also granted the privilege later in 2024.
