BCAA to offer parametric products

The BCAA has launched a bundled parametric travel insurance product suite, created in partnership with Blink Parametric.

The BCAA product, based on Blink Parametric’s insurtech solutions, will initially be offered exclusively as a single-trip travel insurance policy, and will include coverage for both flight disruption and real-time lost or delayed baggage assistance.

The flight disruption element monitors flights in real-time, and automatically notifies the customer of a delay of over two hours occurs, as well as delivering the BCAA customer’s choice of assistance options, including airport lounge access and a cash payment.

The lost and delayed airline luggage element offers real-time support to customers whose checked luggage cannot be located following arrival at an airport. Payments are then automatically delivered in proportion to the scale of the delay, or the eventual loss of the baggage.

Blink Parametric also recently partnered with Getcover.com to launch a suite of bespoke online travel insurance products.
