Session 1: 10:00–11:30
Topic 1: Double standards? Should accreditation be the same for everyone?
With an increase in travelling and demand for accreditation in even the remotest places, can standards stay a one-size-fits-all concept, or do we need rethink our approach? Discuss with our panellists where accreditation should be headed, if start-ups and under-resourced locations should be taken into consideration and where the grey areas limit us.
Panellists:
• Dr Ludovic Gros (IMA/NATO)
• Mark Chapman (Medway/CCM)
• Dr Lynn Gordon (Charles Taylor Assistance)
Moderators:
Dr Mike Braida & Co-Moderator Dr Cai Glushak
Coffee break 11:30–11:45
Session 2: 11:45–13:15
Topic 2: “No spare to spare” – what is keeping us grounded?
How do providers tackle the supply chain backlogs in aviation and how do they overcome the staff shortage of medical and flight staff? Engage with our panellists on whether providers need to be more flexible with crew staffing, whether there are alternatives like staff sharing, and help us find out how EURAMI can help solve these issues.
Panellists:
• Ozan Alemdaroğlu (Redstar)
• David Fox (Fox Flight)
• Georg Griesemann (Quick Air)
Moderators:
Clive Gillard & Philipp Schneider
Lunch break 13:15–14:00
Session 3: 14:00–15:30
Topic 3: “Too sick to fly – restrictions, limitations and clinical challenges in the air”
When medicine meets aviation – elevated risk and unforeseen circumstances are business as usual. Hear what our panellists have to say when they discuss three common challenges in the air, whether we need to impose a more structured medical risk assessment and how to tackle the challenges with transporting complex patients on commercial flights.
Panellists:
• Dr Doug Stevens (FAI)
• Dr Marek Rozwadowski (Lifesupport)
• Dr Joseph Lelo (AMREF)
Moderators:
Dr Bettina Vadera & Co-Moderator Dr Yann Rouaud
Coffee break 15:30–15:45
Session 4: 15:45–17:15
Topic 4: “Bigger, better, greener, cheaper – why competitive pricing and sustainability cannot co-exist”
Following the massive increase in costs, debate with our panellists on whether payers or providers will determine the pricing moving forward, plus how to stay cost effective – or are we powerless to control the factors pushing up costs anyway? And how about the mission to become greener – is this just wishful thinking or can we find a way to make this happen?
Panellists:
• Brandon Bates (Airmed)
• Paul Tiba (Airlec)
• Pascaline Wolfermann (United Healthcare Global)
Moderators:
Anne Rodenburg & Co-Moderator Diana Iaquinto
