APRIL International launches Easy Claim Card
The new payment solution is available to its French policyholders currently, before a future rollout into other markets
APRIL International, an international health insurance solutions provider, has launched a new direct billing payment solution.
It has been launched after a seven-month trial with a panel of policyholders, first to policyholders from APRIL’s French entity in Paris, then the solution is to be rolled out to policyholders of the company’s other entities soon.
The Easy Claim Card enables globally mobile policyholders to pay for their medical expenses from wherever they are, without incurring any personal expenses.
The card can be used at all types of medical facilities to pay for treatment including GP and specialist consultations; diagnostic tests; prescription drugs; hospital scans (CT, MRI, PT); physiotherapists; dentists; and opticians. The Easy Claim Card works anywhere in the world.
However, before receiving medical treatment, the policyholder needs to contact APRIL to get the card loaded with the amount needed to carry out the treatment. The policyholder can then receive the required treatment, pay with the card and send the receipt to the company.
In an emergency, and when there is no direct billing payment with the hospital, APRIL will credit a card to the policyholder as soon as it receives the estimated cost of treatment.
“APRIL International is continuing its transformation to become an international leader in insurance distribution and provide the best services to expatriates, anywhere in the world,” said Isabelle Moins, CEO of APRIL International in Europe. “The Easy Claim Card is another example of digital innovation that meets our policyholders’ needs for simplicity and convenience.”
