Allianz Partners awarded Gold Certified Trustmark
The certification reflects the clarity of its Australian travel insurance policy documents
Allianz Partners has been awarded a Gold Certified Trustmark for its Australian travel insurance products from the Plain Language Certified consultancy.
The accreditation reflects the company’s efforts to clarify the wording of its travel insurance policies. This includes the replacement of jargon with everyday language, as well as reviewing any contract terms which could be potentially unfair to customers.
The company has, for example, shifted away from using the term ‘unlimited benefits’, in favour of a clear ‘dollar value’ across all product benefits, with the aim of removing potential ambiguity.
For example, benefit limits for overseas emergency assistance and overseas medical and hospital expenses have changed from being unlimited benefits, to having a $20 million for single and duo coverage types, and $40 million for family coverage.
“The service we provide is not changing – it’s just going to be easier for our customers to understand,” said Damien Arthur, Allianz Partners’ Head of Travel. “We will continue to look for ways to improve the cover we offer for overseas emergency and medical needs and adapt our plans to meet emerging challenges.”
